One Humongous Pizza
Since I'm a huge fan of Italian food, I checked out a relatively new place at Pacific Place, Jakarta. It's called Sopra Ristorante. They serve contemporary Italian cuisine. They have a family size pizza which is huge. The pizza is traditional Italian style, thin crust. It tastes good. They have pasta dishes and steaks as well.

Gudeg Kendil @ Warung Bu Widodo, Wijilan St. , Jogjakarta
When you visit Jogjakarta, you must eat the famous "gudeg". It's the local food of Jogjakarta. Nearly every single corner of the streets in Jogjakarta sell gudeg but you need to come to the right place for a good one. Hop on the becak (three-wheeled cart) and ask the becak driver to take you to Wijilan Street. The famous street is the district of gudeg warungs.
The main components of gudeg is the rice, krecek (the spicy cow skin) and young jackfruit which is slightly sweet in your palette. You can have chicken, egg, tofu and tempe (fermented soy bean) on the side. When you want to take some gudeg home, you can ask for a kendil, a little pot made of clay.

Themed restaurants are becoming more popular nowadays. One of the first ones is "The Apartment" in Kuningan, Jakarta. You feel like you walk into your own apartment when you dine in the restaurant. There are the bedroom area where there is literally a bed, bathroom area, kitchen area, and the outdoor terrace. This place is such a great place to hang out and it is always full especially on the weekends so reservartion is necessary. It opens from breakfast time (for those who work in Kuningan area, maybe you guys can pop in the restaurant for a little breakfast) until late hours. The restaurant serves modern international cuisines. The price of the food and drinks are quite reasonable. The menu itself s designed to look like newspaper and the staffs are dressed in pyjamas. How cute is that?

5 Top Food You Can't Miss in Bali
Spare Ribs @ Warung Nuris, Ubud
It is definitely the best ribs in town. When you travel to Ubud, Bali, on the way to the town centre you’ll pass this little warung called Warung Nuris. This place has been opened for years and it is well-known for its spare ribs. The place is not fancy but I can guarantee that you’ll be satisfied with the food. The ribs are tender, juicy, and soooo yummy. Grilled on the charcoal grill with the special home-made sauce, makes you begging for more.

For those who loves duck, you need to check out this place. Very recommended. When you walk into the restaurant, you can feel the Balinese atmosphere. You will expect the crispy fried duck on the outside tender and moist duck meat inside, served with steamed rice and the traditional Balinese sambals. It is definitely a food indulgence.

Babi Guling @ Warung Ibu Oka, Ubud
The place is located right in the town centre, opposite the Ubud Market. A place where you can feel the Balinese community ambiance to enjoy good food. Why did I say so? Because you won’t find individuals table setting. You will find long tables where you share with the others and you sit on the floor. One portion of the special plate, you will get steam rice with some roast pork, some pork sausages, vegetables, and not forget to mention the crispy skin. The whole pig roasted for hours with herbs. If you’re lucky enough, you can see the whole roasted pig carried to the restaurant from wherever they roasted it. The place only opens for lunch from 11 am to 3 pm.
